INCREASING LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆?

Labour productivity (apt) is a key figure, which expresses the average labour performance (production, added value) of one employee over a given period. Important: this form of labour productivity covers only one sub-area of a company’s total productivity. Another component is, for example, the production capacity of machinery (machine efficiency or Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆?

Measure of labour productivity is easy to understand and calculate, but its meaning in itself is limited.

The formula does not take into account the cost of workers, machinery, work equipment and other available materials. As a result, no conclusions can be drawn regarding the causes of high or low worker productivity.
